A reminder to all members, we are meeting at Merstham Hub on Saturday 8th at 10 am for a walk around Merstham and Nutfield. There are a couple of stiles and the odd (very) muddy patch on the full route - however there are a couple of options for shortcuts for those that don't want to tackle (gentle) hills and stiles and there may be an opportunity for a drink outside at the Inn on the Pond on the way round. If you haven't found Glebe lake yet, we'll be visiting this beauty spot on the way round. We'll also see some really good views once we're up the hill and we'll also see Paul's new hedge on the way back. We'll split into small groups if more than 6 of us meet up (so please don't be put off by numbers!) Come wearing walking boots/wellies, a waterproof (rain forecast) and a drink/snack. Approximate walking time 3-4 hours depending on stops at pub or on route. We'll pass three of these view points in the picture below. Reports coming soon on our willow weaving and open water swimming. Claire will also soon be publishing our May newsletter with more upcoming events and talks for you to book on and enjoy. Hopefully there'll be a few less active ones to join in! I'm feeling tired just reading some of this!!! Pass me a crochet needle and a good book!
High chance rain on Saturday. Postpone or go ahead?
