Janet encouraged us to make some wonderful cake toppings at our March meeting on Monday. We had a brilliant lesson on how to mould icing over a marshmallow to make a beautiful Easter hat, but that was not all! We also learned how to make a pretty chick hatching, an Easter rabbit, flowers and enough ideas to cover fairy cakes or biscuits in such an imaginative way. Not only is Janet a very talented teacher, but she is full of ideas to help us learn. Many thanks to her for making our evening so enjoyable.
We have an excellent Bread making Craft Workshop coming up on Sunday 2nd April between 1pm and 5pm. The cost is £25 and will be held in Canada Hall. Claire will be showing how to make several types of bread in such a way that you may never want to buy bread again! For anyone who tasted Claire's food at previous meetings, you know what a treat is in store. Places can be booked via our website.
Our March 21st evening craft club is cancelled unfortunately, but the wool spinning will take place at a later date.
April's meeting is a guided walk round Merstham ending up at the Feathers. This will be led by Liz, who is a fountain of local knowledge regarding natural history, beautiful walks and beekeeping. For those unable to make the walk, we will meet at the Feathers about 6pm for a social drink, or a meal.
Walkers meet at Canada hall at 4pm
